Does training actually keep people?
Every vendor selling training software will tell you it fixes retention. The honest answer is narrower and more useful: it moves early retention, and it does very little about why people leave after six months.

Where it works
New people quit early because they feel useless and nobody has time to help them. Around one in three frontline workers who leave cite a lack of training. Someone who is competent by the end of week one has a reason to stay that they didn't have on day one.
Where it doesn't
No amount of training fixes a wage that doesn't cover rent, a schedule posted two days out, or a manager who shouts. If those are your problem, fix those. Training software sold as a retention cure is selling you a lever that isn't attached to the thing you're trying to move.
The honest version of the pitch
We don't claim to reduce your turnover. Turnover in these trades is structural. What consistent onboarding does is make turnover survivable — the next person is productive and safe faster, and quality doesn't dip every time someone new starts.
How it works
- Talk it in. Walk through the job out loud, in whatever language you think in.
- Get a clear routine. Tiendo structures it into steps, safety notes and checkpoints, then translates it into your team's language — numbers and times kept exact.
- Your team reads and confirms. Post a QR code or hand a new hire one link. They read it on their phone and tap "read and understood."
