Home care training: the part the state course doesn't cover
Your aides completed the required hours. What they didn't get is how *your* agency does things — this client's routine, what to do when something's wrong, who to call, what to write down. That's the part that goes missing when turnover is high and aides work alone.

- Aides work alone in a client's home with no one to ask.
- Client-specific instructions live in a binder in the office.
- Turnover means the client gets a new aide who wasn't told what the last one knew.
- Your aides read Tagalog, Spanish, Haitian Creole — your procedures are in English.
What we cover and what we don't
We don't replace state training or certification. We deliver your agency's procedures: how this client's morning goes, how you do a safe transfer, what infection control looks like in your agency, what to report and to whom, what to do in an emergency. Recorded once, in the languages your aides read.
Client-specific routines
Each client is a routine: preferences, mobility, medications to prompt (not administer, unless your agency and state allow), risks in the home, family contacts. A new aide opens it on their phone before the first visit and knows what the last aide knew.
Alone, so on the phone
There's no supervisor in the client's home. The instruction has to be in the aide's pocket, in their language, readable in the hallway before going in. And the confirmation is your record that it reached them.
What we ask you to check
Home care is regulated differently by state, and some procedures require specific training hours or certification. Tiendo delivers and documents instruction; it does not satisfy a licensure requirement. Confirm what your state requires before relying on any routine for a regulated task.
How it works
- Talk it in. Walk through the job out loud, in whatever language you think in.
- Get a clear routine. Tiendo structures it into steps, safety notes and checkpoints, then translates it into your team's language — numbers and times kept exact.
- Your team reads and confirms. Post a QR code or hand a new hire one link. They read it on their phone and tap "read and understood."
